National bail Out
Beginning in May 2017, groups across the country came together to bail mothers, fathers, caregivers, and community members out of local jails and immigration detention centers so they could spend the holidays (Mother's Day, Father's Day, Pride, Juneteenth, Black August, and the winter holidays) with their families. Groups also held teach-ins to share the impact of money bail and incarceration on our communities. In 2018, grassroots organizations across the country are continuing to bail out and support community members to highlight the unjust practices of money bail.
